Open Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year begins February 2, 2026.
Career Academy Middle School and Career Academy High School are tuition-free public schools serving students in South Bend and surrounding communities.
Career Academy Middle School provides a strong academic foundation through engaging instruction, student support, and innovative programs that prepare learners for high school success.
Career Academy High School offers rigorous academics, career pathways, and real-world learning experiences designed to help students graduate ready for college, careers, and life.
Families are encouraged to apply early, as space may be limited.
Apply starting February 2, 2026, for the 2026–2027 school year.
Follow the steps below to apply for enrollment in the Career Academy Network of Public Schools, Northern Indiana’s premier K-12 public charter school system. Once your application has been received, the enrollment team will get in contact with you.
Step 1.
Gather Documents
You will need:
- Your student’s birth certificate
- Proof of residency (current utility bill)
- Proof of guardianship (driver’s license, ID, court papers, etc.)
Step 2.
Complete Application
Create an account and fill out the guided application for your student(s). The application should take less than 10 minutes. If you cannot complete it in one session, you will receive an email with the link to your application to complete.
Step 3.
Application Review
Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Acceptance is subject to enrollment capacity.

What is SchoolMint?
SchoolMint is an online enrollment and communication platform, working with public, charters and private schools, to make the enrollment process for parents easier, and faster.
SchoolMint offers different options, so parents can apply and register with a computer or mobile device. They can upload student documents, check application status, and even select the method in which you prefer to receive your school’s communications, by email or text.
Career and Success Academy both utilize this enrollment software to ensure security and a timely response to your student’s acceptance.

What are the costs associated with enrolling?
Because we believe in removing barriers to quality education, we provide all our instruction and education at no cost to the students and families. Books, lunch, and other materials are the responsibility of the parents and students.
What are the school hours?
Career Academy school and office hours
(Middle School GRADES 6-8) are 8:00am-3:45pm
(High School GRADES 9-12) 8:00am-3:45pm
Optional CASB Clubs are available from 4-5pm
Success Academy school and office hours
(GRADES K-5), students attend school from 8:00am-2:45pm.
