Modern science is a team sport.

In order to address the complex scientific challenges that exist in the world today, scientists across all disciplines must work together, share information, and utilize the latest technology. Science students at Career Academy have the opportunity to do all of the above.

Whether you’re designing prosthetic limbs in Medical Interventions, monitoring body functions in Animal Body Systems, or competing with our Science Olympiad team, you will gain meaningful hands-on experience collaborating with your peers and instructors.

The world is your laboratory

  • Biomedical Science and Health students have the chance to take part in several service learning projects in the community. Past projects have included blood donation drives, a health fair, and healthy living sessions at Bendix Clinic Resource Center, to name a few.
  • Students in Health Science Education II: Nursing spend two semesters at a clinical site of their choice performing general health screenings, consulting with doctors, and preparing for a career in healthcare.
  • Members of our Science Olympiad team compete against other schools in a series of team-based events in which they work together with limited resources to solve scientific problems.
